Name: Anthony Guerrero
Age: 24
Gamer Tag (Xbox 360): The One DieHard
User Name (PS3): TheOneDieHard [Getting a new PS3 soon]
How long have you been playing the SvR/WWE series?: FOREVER, lol
Which SvR handle are you known best as?: ViD_MetalHead, BtM_DieHard, The One DieHard
The Story
Once upon a time, wait, no, wrong story....
Ok, mm--mmm, I'm ready now.
'Twas the night before Christmas and not a creature was stirring... Damn, wrong one again, wait, wait, I got it now...
Ok, back before the name DieHard was even conceived this small, minuscule SmackDown vs RAW player existed called MetalHead3d, wasn't that great but wasn't that bad. Now MetalHead3d didn't believe that a "clan" would be in his foreseeable future, boy was he wrong.
SmackDown vs RAW (2005-2006)
Not to much happened here MetalHead3d wasn't feared but wasn't exactly liked at this time, more or less just a lone wolf in a playground of wrestlers.
SmackDown vs RAW (2006-2007)
The very first time the name that DieHard ever used was about 1 match in length, the name was "Di3 HaRD" Literally, I used it for one match and went back to MetalHead3d.
SmackDown vs RAW 2007 (2006-2008) The Birth of "DieHard"
Ahh some call it the "Glory Days", some call it "Clan Wars Age", some just called it a "Game"...
What you are about to read may not be entirely true as I have a very one sided opinion on both Brandon Thompson and Brian Richardson. I will attempt to stay as professional as I can.
In December of 2007, MetalHead3d met 2 Gentlemen in a Triple Threat Match, ViD_TheBloodGod and ViD-Forsaken, the match was sub par, but was fun for Metal as he almost expected to be double teamed but he wasn't which to him was a great surprise. After the match TheBloodGod anbd Forsaken asked Metal if he would "join" there clan known as 'Victory in Death' at first Metal declined sighting that 'Clans' just weren't for him, but with some coaxing from TheBloodGod he secured bringing MetalHead3d to ViD.
The Age of ViD
As Metal joined Victory in Death he customarily changed his username to ViD_MetalHead. In the early time that Metal was in ViD, he grew fond of the truly competitive nature that ViD had towards it opponents. There was only one thing that Metal didn't like about the Competitive nature of Victory in Death, if Brandon Thompson (TBG) or Brian Richardson (Forsaken) were about to lose a match they would either turn off there PS2's or completely pull the internet cable right from the back of there consoles, it didn't matter WHO it was, they even pulled the plug on fellow clansmen ViD_berzerker and ViD_MetalHead.
DieHard is Conceived
After a verbal argument broke out between MetalHead and TheBloodGod, Metal said he was going to watch a movie with his wife, and that movie was titled, you guess it DieHard: With a Vengeance.
DieHard and his wife were joking when they said he should make his name DieHard on SvR2007, but DieHard felt that the name MetalHead had come to a pass and it was time to start new, a new name, a new attitude, and a new style. The very 1st appearance of DieHard on SmackDown vs RAW 2007 is here:
As DieHard was playing matches, he ran into many familiar faces that he knew as MetalHead, one of many was ViD_TheBloodGod. Bradon was not happy that DieHard decided to go his own way and do his "own Thing" he said that ViD was were he belonged and he ordered DieHard to go back under his name: ViD_MetalHead.
BtM's Birth
As Brandon Demanded that DieHard stop using that name, DieHard was in the process of making a rival clan to challenge the once string Victory in Death, with a clan called 'Beyond the Machine" BtM for short. The early tactics that DieHard used as a clan leader were not those that should ever be used such as stealing members from other clans, which DieHard convinced long time friend berzerker to join BtM in a short stay.
The Feud with Victory & Vengeance
For the better part of 2007, BtM was ina Clan War with V.V. who was led by berzerker, the reason behind it to this day is still untold as the circumstances were beyond the perception of even a rocket scientist. For every time BtM would gain a new member, Victory & Vengeance would go "undercover" and join BtM, then attempt to capture the clans titles, which in turn BtM would do the same to V.V.
As neither BtM or V.V. would back down from one another DieHard proposed an idea, an Invitational of sorts to end it all, the winners of the Invitational would be called "The Chosen Ones" Both clans battled with everything they had, and it came down to Leader taking on leader in what should have just been a basic one on one became an all out slug-fest with everything but the Kitchen Sink involved. DieHard finally came out victorious in a match that to this day those in The Chosen Ones still speak about.
The Chosen Ones
In late 2007 BtM changed it's name to The Chosen Ones, but kept the clan tag of "BtM" They felt they didn't need to change there tag name as they were known as BtM. In February of 2008 the SmackDown vs RAW 2007 server was shut down for the PS2, at that time most of The Chosen Ones had moved onto the Xbox 360, DieHard went back to SvR06.
DieHard's return was short lived as he was working 60+ hours every week so gaming became a once in a while feat.
The Chosen Ones Return on the Xbox 360
With the release of WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2009 for the Xbox 360 DieHard felt it was a good time to make the jump to the "Next Gen" systems, again DieHard has a small stay on the Xbox 360 as work again was crazy scheduling.
The SvR2010 Era
When 2010 came out DieHard said he would give one least chance to the SvR series he made a return like no other, getting in touch with all of the old members of The Chosen Ones, TCO was reborn on the Xbox 360 with WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2010.
Throughout the release of 2010 DieHard ran a promotion called "The Power Plant" a successful wrestling league that to this day is still successfully running strong.
WWE SvR 2011
WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2011 for the Xbox 360 was probably one of the best years in general for DieHard, with the success that has been had from The Power Plant, it has opened doors that I had only dreamed would be possible. Within the release of 2011, alongside running TPP, I solely based my persona on "Telling a Story", not only with Voice Over Commentary, but in general, using the mentality that I can't be "outdone" in a match.
WWE '12
WWE '12 was a tough pill for DieHard to digest with it's release, although we are still very early into the release of WWE '12 I feel that this will be another milestone year not only for DieHard, but for The Power Plant as well.
The Chosen Ones has became a Multi-Gaming Clan varying from Halo: Reach, CoD: Black Ops, to SvR2011, although The Chosen Ones have had a time where they had slim comunication with one another, like any good family, it is always good to see old friends.
